Refrigerant - R404A

R404A is a non-flammable HFC blend refrigerant used in refrigeration applications including cold storage cells, supermarket display cases, ice machines and transport refrigeration. It is a zeotropic blend of R125, R143a and R134a.  

The R404A range is a substitute for CFC R502, with physical and thermodynamic properties comparable to R502. Kirby's product information also identifies R404A for retrofitting existing R502 installations. Refrigerant must be charged from the liquid phase, and compressors must use polyol ester oils.
