Together with our employees, customers and supply partners we raise funds through various programs and use those funds to provide trade tool support and skills development training to industry apprentices. We see this as ‘strengthening our trade’.

In 2026 Kirby celebrates 30 years of partnership with WorldSkills Australia. Over the years, Kirby has donated countless pieces of Kirby refrigeration and associated equipment and tools for use in Regional and National competitions.
Regional competitions are held every 2 years with the National and International Championships operating on alternate two-year cycles.
Established in 1981, WorldSkills Australia promotes and builds a skills culture, celebrates excellence and showcases vocational education and training, trades and apprenticeships through skills-based competitions.
