Heatcraft appoints Marketing Manager - HVAC & R Equipment

Heatcraft has appointed Kirk Buckley to the role of Marketing Manager, HVAC & Refrigeration Equipment.

Sydney based Buckley joins Heatcraft with over 10 years’ experience in various marketing, communications, strategy and technology roles across various industrial markets. He previously served as Group Marketing Manager for Bromic Group, a manufacturer and distributor of engineered products. In collaboration with Heatcraft leadership, Buckley will continue to drive the strategic direction of the Lennox HVAC and Kirby Refrigeration equipment portfolios through new product development and business tools to drive market penetration.

“In addition, we have some exciting new residential HVAC products about to launch that we’re confident will meet expectations, so watch this space.”

Energy Efficiency Initiatives raise system efficiency awareness

The NSW Government Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) have launched a new initiative to help equipment owners better understand the impact of their refrigeration system on operating costs.

The initiative includes an on-line tutorial titled “Understanding Refrigeration Basics”, and covers topics such as refrigeration system types, compressor types and refrigerant selections. It offers tips to improve energy efficiency such as keeping condenser coils clean and scheduling regular system maintenance.

The Refrigeration Basics on-line course is supported by a half-day Refrigeration Workshop costing $300 per person in Sydney and $150 per person in regional NSW. Participants can then apply for post training support - up to $3000 worth of support for only $300. Examples of the one-on-one guidance provided by OEH include;

•     Developing a business case for refrigeration upgrade projects

•     Assistance with procurement, including tender reviews and engineering design review.

Business owners are encouraged to speak with their refrigeration contractor about improving their refrigeration system to get the best and most efficient outcome. Qualified contractors can be located via
